Traveling the road of adoption has brought dear friends into our lives. As Maia's referral got closer and closer, friendships with new women starting popping up, almost as if to say, "It's almost time." I truly believe that the Lord gives us opportunities and appointments to meet others who are sharing the same things in life as us, be it struggles or passions or joyful moments. Amy and Shannon came into my life very recently, and we have become dear sisters. Amy and Eric adopted Caden domestically and are awaiting their miracle, Kinsey, from China this spring. Shannon and Jim were also called to adoption from China and adopted sweet Grace three years ago. This playdate was our first with all but Kinsey in the group. We went to Amy's beautiful home near the mountains and shared toys, laughs, tears, joyful anticipation of Kinsey, and some really good chicken salad croissants! Thank you, dear friend, for hosting us. The kids had fun together, and Caden is about to have another fellow in the group to play with as Beth and James Milhollin are bringing Robert home from Guatemala next Wednesday! We've waited for Robert for three years, and he's finally coming home. Praise the Lord!
